No Religious Liberties

Introduction

There is much talk concerning religious freedom in America today that is being ripped away only because of how one believes. This event seems to target the Christian faith, why? An effort will be made to reply, concerning this question.

Persecution

Thus, persecution is the results of the Word of God. If one is not firmly rooted in God’s Word, he or she will fall at the first sign of trouble. Matthew teaches us this from the parable of the sower.

In Matthew 13:20-21, it says,

20 The one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away.

These are people who wanted all the benefits that come with being a Christian, but not any of the maltreatment resulting from being a Christian, either verbal or physical.

Persecution on a grand scale is about to enter the United States and the world, and if the Christian is not ready for it, then he or she faces a great danger of rejection by the Lord Jesus Christ.

In Luke 12:8-9, is says,

8 “And I tell you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; 9 but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

It is the author’s belief that a real follower of Jesus Christ is incapable of denying the Lord. That is why we must overcome the world as Scripture teaches.

In 1 John 5:4-5, it says,

4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Dear fellow believer, are you willing to give up everything for the Lord Jesus Christ?

Paradise

Paradise is only for those who overcome, remember the marriage feast in Matthew’s Gospel. Scripture teaches that many are called, but few are chosen.

In Matthew 22:14, it says,

14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

The faith of individuals in America, have not been tested, and now the time has come for that challenging, are you ready? Will one overcome the world and enter paradise and be with the Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity? If one truly believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he or she will overcome this world.

We must keep on with our faith to receive the reward we have been promised by God. For seven times throughout the book of Revelation, it is stated to, “he who overcomes,” the Lord says, “I will grant.” Salvation is a gift given to us now, yet we have the responsibility to be overcomers standing firm for the Gospel and keeping faith in Jesus Christ.

In Revelation 2:7b, it says,

7 ‘To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.’

In Revelation 2:11b, it says,

11 ‘He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.’

In Revelation 2:17b, it says,

17 ‘To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it.’

In Revelation 2:26, it says,

26 ‘He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM, I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS;

In Revelation 3:5, it says,

5 ‘He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments, and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

In Revelation 3:12, it says,

12 ‘He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.

In Revelation 3:21, it says,

21 ‘He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

These are the things God vowed to give us if we but believe and stay the course to the end, that is death. These are the things God will provide us with if we, “overcome.”

Conclusion

In Romans 8:35, is says,

35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

My dear fellow-believer one needs to understand that no place in Holy Scripture guarantees us this freedom. The only thing we have is the power of God who will fight in our place if we believe.

In 2 Timothy 3:12, it says,

Indeed, all who want to live godly in Christ Jesus will see persecution.

NO RELIGIOUS FREEDOMS found here in this Bible verse, is there. Nevertheless, believers will see persecution in this life. It does speak, of abuse because we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In Revelation 21:7, it says,

7 “He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.

In Luke 18:8, it says,

When the Son of Man comes, will He, find faith on the earth?

A word of encouragement, stand firm, it will be worth it all in the end.

We will suffer persecution, so stop crying and wanting to get out of it.

God is on our side, just remember that.

About Dr. George Gallant

I have had the opportunity to work in many fields in my life, and excelled in all of them. I started as a mechanic in the Army then went to the Infantry in Vietnam. After returning to America, I worked as a mechanic for a few more years off and on until I found a position as a Dialysis Technician until I became a Chief specialist in a major Boston hospital. In 1981, I became a Police Office in a small town in Northeast Georgia and continued to work with law-enforcement for seven years. I also preached the Word of God in the Toccoa community and wished that I could have found a church that would have taken me on to preach every week. In 1993, I became a computer programmer for many years and loved that job much. In 2003, my wife came down with the worst breast cancer one could get, so I retired and took care of her until her passing in 2006. Then in 2007, I moved to China and started teaching both verbal English and American History to high-school students; this by far was the best job I ever had.
