About Me

I have had the opportunity to work in many fields in my life and excelled in all of them. I started as a mechanic in the Army then went to the Infantry in Vietnam. After returning to America, I worked as a truck mechanic for a few more years off and on until I found a position as a Dialysis Technician until I became a Chief specialist in a major Boston hospital. In 1981, I became a Police Office in a small town in Northeast Georgia and continued to work with law enforcement for seven years. I also preached the Word of God in the Toccoa, Georgia community and wished that I could have found a church that would have taken me on to teach every week. In 1993, I became a computer programmer for many years and loved that job much. In 2007, I moved to China and started teaching both spoken English and American History to high school students; this by far was the best job I ever had.

I went to Bible College and studied Bible/Theology and loved every moment of my time at this excellent school. I also went on for advanced degrees studying the same thing Bible/Theology. Education is wonderful but it must be tempered with wisdom, or it means nothing.

“A degree only shows one’s academic achievement, not one’s spiritual growth.”

Sola Fide– By Faith alone
Sola Gratia– By Grace alone
Solus Christus– By Christ alone
Soli Deo Gloria– Glory to God alone

  2. Hey, Doc pleased to meet ya! I was also in Nam, 1968; I was an RMC “(Royal Marine Commando), attached” to some American Marine Force Recon, and later MACVSOG as well. I was enlisted then, but much later I retired an Officer (Mustang) after Gulf War 1 and was for a bit of time again “attached” to the American Marine Battalion Recon there. Rock on “Grunts” and Infantry!

PS, Btw for what it’s worth, I hold two doctorates: Philosophy and NT Theology. But of course real discipleship is God’s Grace & Glory, as we cast our so-called crowns before HIM! And yes, I am Reformed also, but not on Eschatology (Historical Pre-Mill, Post-Trib). 🙂
